थाना हापुड़ देहात के गांव धनौरा में शनिवार देर रात जंगली कुत्तों ने राष्ट्रीय पक्षी मोर पर हमला कर उसे घायल कर दिया था। ग्रामीणों ने तीन घंटे तक वन अधिकारियों के ना पहुंचने पर लापरवाही के चलते मोल की मौत का जिम्मेदार बताते हुए डीएम से कार्यवाही की मांग की।
ग्रामीणों ने वन विभाग के अधिकारियों पर लापरवाही का आरोप लगाते हुए मौत का जिम्मेदार बताया।
जानकारी के अनुसार हापुड़ के गांव धनौरा में शनिवार देर रात जंगली कुत्तों ने राष्ट्रीय पक्षी मोर पर हमला कर उसे घायल कर दिया। रविवार की सुबह उधर से गुजर रहे युवक गौरव त्यागी व बसपा नेता बबलू त्यागी व अन्य युवकों ने मोर को बचाते हुए ग्रामीणों को सूचना देते हुए मोर को बसपा नेता बबलू त्यागी के कार्यालय पर लाकर पानी पिलाया और वन विभाग के अधिकारियों को सूचित किया।
राष्ट्रीय सैनिक संस्था के पदाधिकारी गजेन्द्र त्यागी ने बताया कि सूचना के तीन घंटे बाद टीम पहुंची,तब तक मोर की मौत हो चुकी थी। वन विभाग की टीम अपने साथ मृत मोर को ले गई।
उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि वन विभाग की लापरवाही से राष्ट्रीय पक्षी की मोर की मौत हो गई। उन्होंने डीएम से मामले की जांच करवाकर कार्रवाई की मांग की। घटना को लेकर ग्रामीणों में वन विभाग के प्रति जबरदस्त आक्रोश है।
उधर इस संबंध में जब डीएफओ संजय कुमार से बात की,तो उन्होंने जांच करने की बात की।
