थाना हापुड़ देहात क्षेत्र में मनवीर सिंह हत्याकांड का खुलासा करते हुए पुलिस ने मृतक के बेटे सहित चार लोगों को गिरफ्तार कर लिया। जिनके कब्जे से घटना में चाकू व ईट तथा हत्या कराने के लिए दिये गये 52,300 रुपये नकदी बरामद की। मृतक अपनी जमीन किसी अन्य व्यक्ति के नाम करना चाहता था जिससे क्षुब्ध होकर मृतक के बेटे विशाल ने गुड्डू को 12 लाख रुपये की सुपारी देकर अपने पिता मनवीर की हत्या करवाई थी।
जानकारी के अनुसार थाना हापुड़ देहात क्षेत्र के ग्राम ततारपुर के जंगल में एक अज्ञात व्यक्ति का शव मिला था, जिनकी शिनाख्त मनवीर के रूप में हुई।
एएसपी विनीत भटनागर ने बताया कि मामले में पुलिस ने चार आरोपियों मृतक का बेटा विशाल उर्फ सौरभ, गुड्डू उर्फ रामगोपाल, बाबू उर्फ विक्रान्त व गगन को गिरफ्तार कर केस का खुलासा किया गया है।
गिरफ्तार अभियुक्त विशाल उर्फ सौरभ ने पूछताछ करने पर बताया कि मेरे पिता मनवीर सिंह अपनी जमीन को सीतादेई के रहने बाले वैधा जी के बेटे के नाम करना चाह रहे थे तथा वह मेरी पत्नी पर गलत नजर रखते थे जिस कारण मैंने अपने पिता को मरवाने की ठान ली थी। मैंने अपने पिता को मारने के लिये गांव के ही रहने वाले गुड्डू उर्फ रामगोपाल पुत्र नरेश कुमार से संपर्क किया, जिसने हत्या वारताने के लिए मेरी मुलाकात दिनांक 21.08.2025 को बाबू उर्फ विक्रान्त पुत्र भंजीत सिंह व गगन पत्र पथ्य उर्फ प्रेम सुन्दर से करावी थी, जिसमें हत्या के लिये 12 लाख रुपये देना तय हुआ था, जिसमें से 1.5 लाख रुपये मैंने गुड्डू को दिये थे तथा दिनांक 26.08.2025 को प्रातः शौच करते समय मृतक मनवीर सिंह की चाकू से चेहरा कुचलकर खेत में हत्या कर दी थी।
