गढ़मुक्तेश्वर पुष्पावती पूठ स्थित महर्षि दयानंद महाविद्यालय में अतुल्य गंगा ट्रस्ट वन विभाग एवं लोक भारती के संयुक्त तत्वाधान में 4 हरिसंकरी सहित 200 पौधों का वृक्षारोपण कर गंगा मैया को हरियाली चुनरी पहनने का कार्यक्रम मनाया गया।
इस अवसर पर अतुल्य गंगा ट्रस्ट के संस्थापक गोपाल शर्मा ने संस्था के बारे में विस्तार से बताते हुए बताया की संस्था का प्रारंभ पूर्व सैनिक अधिकारियों ने अब से 5 वर्ष पूर्व किया था तथा तब 2000 वर्ष पश्चात गंगा की 5030 किलोमीटर की पैदल यात्रा की गई ।ट्रस्ट द्वारा समय-समय पर वन विभाग,लोकभारती, एनसीसी वह अन्य सामाजिक संगठनों का सहयोग लेते हुए गंगा के किनारे प्लांटेशन का कार्य किया जाता है।
इस अवसर पर मुख्य अतिथि लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल विकास रुहेला ने कहा कि हम सब का उद्देश्य पृथ्वी पर जल की उपलब्धता को बढ़ाना एवं ग्लोबल वार्मिंग से बचने के लिए वृक्ष लगाने पर है। हमें माननीय प्रधानमंत्री जी के आह्वान एक पेड़ मां के नाम के साथ-साथ एक पेड़ गंगा मैया के नाम भी लगाना चाहिए उन्होंने कहा कि सबका साथ हो और गंगा मैया साफ हो यह जन सहभागिता के साथ ही संभव है।
कार्यक्रम को संबोधित करते हुए प्रभागीय अधिकारी प्रमोद कुमार श्रीवास्तव ने पेड़ों के वैज्ञानिक महत्व पर विस्तार से प्रकाश डालते हुए बताया कि यदि हम इसी प्रकार से प्रकृति के प्रति आंख बंद करे रहे तब वह दिन दूर नहीं है जब हमारी आने वाली पीढियां को पानी की बोतल और ऑक्सीजन का सिलेंडर साथ लेकर चलना होगा।
गढ़मुक्तेश्वर की उप जिला अधिकारी साक्षी शर्मा ने विधि विधान के साथ मंत्रोच्चार के बीच हरिशंकरी रोपण करते हुए उसके महत्व से अवगत कराते हुए बताया की हरी संकरी रोपण से जल का स्तर बहुत तेजी के साथ ऊपर आता है उन्होंने सभी लोगों से अपने यहां विशेष अवसरों पर प्लांटेशन करने का आह्वान किया।
इस अवसर पर अतुल्य भारत मिशन के पदाधिकारीयों ने पर्यावरणविद भारत भूषण गर्ग को प्रशस्ति पत्र देकर सम्मानित किया गया।
इस अवसर पर ईबीएस बाबूगढ़ के बिरगेडियर अजय कुमार गर्ग, पूर्व सैनिक संगठन के चौधरी मनवीर सिंह,पूर्व रेंजर एवं लोक भारती के पर्यावरण प्रमुख अशोक चौधरी गंगा सेवक मूलचंद आर्य गंगा मित्र यथार्थ भूषण महेश केवट राजीव लोचन शर्मा, ITBP के पूर्व अधिकारी जोगेन्दर सिंह डीएम पब्लिक स्कूल के एनसीसी के छात्र, रेनबो पब्लिक स्कूल के प्रबंधक विनोद चौहान गुरुकुल के प्राचार्य राजीव कुमार दिनेश कुमार आचार्य सहित अनेको लोग उपस्थित रहे।
